Theater Department New Works Festival The Metro Arts Theater Department presented the New Works Festival on February 23rd-25th. The 8 short plays presented were written, directed and performed entirely by students.
Metro Arts Dance Teacher Nicole Olson choreographs and performs at the Canal Convergence 2018 Nicole Olson was selected to choreograph several dances that will occur over the space of two weekends. The dancers will interact with the large scale public art installations that are the main focus of the event.
Metro Arts Club Spotlight- "The Hope Club" The Hope Club meets every Tuesday after school to brainstorm ideas and plan future fundraisers. They raise money for homeless shelters and also organize clothing drives. This winter they had a coat drive and on Valentine's Day they sold flowers to raise money for charity.

Staphany Olalde (11th Grade) - 1st place winner of the National Society of Arts and Letters Modern Dance Scholarship Competition This annual competition is to celebrate young dance artists and their love for modern dance.
