Arizona Student Film Festival Metro students Shelly Ortiz, Daniella Mock-Zubia and Nina Nandin were among the 20 finalists selected from students all over Arizona who entered his year's festival. They all received Filmmaker Passes and had their films shown on the big screen at the 2015 Phoenix Film Festival.
Students visit Ecuador and the Galapagos Over Spring Break, a group of 23 Metro students, teachers and alumni visited Ecuador and the Islands of Galapagos.

Metro Sophmore Sam Smith wins local DAR essay contest Sam Smith has won the local National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS ESSAY CONTEST for 2014–2015. Her winning essay will now be sent on to the state level for the next round of judging.
