A beautiful and amazing final Coffee House full of incredible performances by this years seniors.

On Sunday, the Metro Arts Dancers, accompanied by Dance teacher Nicole Olson, performed 2 pieces in the Chase Lobby and Great Hall of the Phx Art Museum. The performances were part of the Free Family Second Sundays in 2016! Family Days are designed for families to spend quality time together playing, learning, stimulating their minds, and connecting with Phoenix Art Museum’s collection and exhibitions.

At this years festival, 7 different short films were shown. All films were written, acted and produced by Metro Arts Students. The winner of this year's Audience Choice Award was "Intersectioned" directed by Christian Payne.

Metro Arts Personal Finance class team of Antonio and Gayle placed 2nd out of 232 in the High School Region! Congratulations to Finance teacher Janice Konderik for her excellent instruction that helped her students achieve this honor!

Jeanette won first place in the Arizona division of the Collaborative Summer Library Program 2016 teen video challenge to create a Public Service Announcement to encourage reading. Her winning video was entitled "Rock Paper Scissors".

On May 2nd, the Personal Finance classes spent the day at the Junior Achievement Finance Park in Tempe. The JA Finance Park classroom lessons and town simulation helps students make the connection between hard work, education, and future earnings as they analyze their financial options and work to create a balanced monthly budget.

Congratulations to Painting, Drawing and Printmaking teacher Koryn Woodward Wasson. She is the featured "Artist of the Month" in the May 2016 issue of Phoenix Magazine. (pg. 48).
